Infringement Policy

LapisTV respects intellectual property rights and expects its users to do the same. This policy explains how copyright owners can report allegedly infringing content and how we respond to valid notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Last updated: September 17, 2026 Informational document

Important — Please Read

This policy is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. It is not a guarantee, warranty, or shield against any legal action, claim, or liability for copyright infringement. LapisTV is a service provider and responds to valid DMCA notices, but this document does not create any legal relationship or obligation beyond what the law requires. You should review this policy and any takedown notice with qualified legal counsel before relying on it or submitting a claim.

1. Overview & Scope

This policy applies to all content made available through the LapisTV service, including live channels, on-demand movies, series, and any user-facing features. It describes the process by which copyright owners (or their authorized agents) can notify us of alleged infringement and the steps we take in response.

We do not claim ownership of third-party content and do not control the upstream sources of streams. Where we are made aware of infringing material through a valid notice, we act to remove or disable access to that material in accordance with applicable law.

2. Filing a DMCA Notice

If you believe that content available through LapisTV infringes a copyright you own or control, you may submit a takedown notice. To be effective under the DMCA, your notice must include the following in writing:

1

Identify the copyrighted work

Describe the original work you claim has been infringed (title, author, or a representative list if multiple works are involved).
2

Identify the infringing material

Provide the specific channel name, URL, stream identifier, or other information reasonably sufficient to let us locate the allegedly infringing content on the service.
3

Provide your contact details

Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address so we can reach you about your notice.
4

Include a good-faith statement

A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
5

Include an accuracy & authority statement

A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
6

Physical or electronic signature

A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.

Send your completed notice to our designated copyright agent (contact details in Section 5). Please use the subject line "DMCA Takedown Notice".

3. How We Respond

When we receive a notice that substantially complies with the requirements above, we will:

  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material, where feasible.
  • Make a good-faith attempt to notify the user or operator associated with the affected content that we have removed or disabled access to it.
  • Keep a record of valid notices and our actions for our internal compliance files.

A party that believes its content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification may submit a counter-notification. A valid counter-notification must include identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury of a good-faith belief that removal was a mistake, your contact information, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts. We may restore the material within 10–14 business days of receiving a valid counter-notification unless we first receive notice from the copyright owner that legal action has been filed.

4. Repeat-Infringer Policy

In appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, LapisTV will terminate or suspend the accounts or access of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. We maintain information sufficient to identify repeat infringers and apply this policy in a manner consistent with applicable law.

Submitting a knowingly false or bad-faith DMCA notice may expose the sender to liability for damages under Section 512(f) of the DMCA. Please verify your claims carefully before filing.

5. Contact & Copyright Agent

Direct all DMCA notices, counter-notifications, and copyright questions to our designated contact below. We aim to acknowledge valid notices promptly.
